Terms & Conditions

A copy of our T&C’s is always attached along with removal confirmations via email communication. Please ensure these documents are read thoroughly before entering into any agreement with us.
Cancellation fees apply.

Parking

Providing parking is the responsibility of the customer. If there are restrictions e.g. yellow lines, red routes, residents only, etc, you must provide a permit from the local council. If this is not possible, please be honest and let us know. If parking is legal try to reserve a space for the van outside before it arrives or call the local council and get a suspension or permit where necessary. If there is no parking pre-arranged any parking fines received will be the responsibility of the customer and must be paid by the customer on completion.

Congestion & Toll Charges

There will be an extra charge of £15 when passing through the London Congestion Charge Zone. Other congestion charge zones and tolls will be charged accordingly (unless otherwise stated).

Payment Requirements

You can pay by the following methods:

Online bank transfer (once date and time has been booked).

Cheque (only accepted if there is enough time for funds to clear before day of job).

Cash on completion.

Paypal.

Arrival / Delivery Times

We will do our best to arrive within the time scale stated, however arrival times are estimated. Delays to pick-up/delivery times are sometimes unavoidable (due to traffic, accidents, weather etc). We do not accept any responsibility for any unforeseen or out of our control delivery/pick-up delays.

We have the right to choose the method and route by which to carry out the work.

Your Packing Responsibilities

We accept no responsibility for damage or breakage to items that have not been packed / protected by adequate means.

Unless agreed by us in writing, we will not:

Dismantle or assemble unit or system furniture (flat-pack), fitments or fittings.

Disconnect, re-connect, dismantle or re-assemble appliances, fixtures, fittings or equipment.

Take up or lay fitted floor coverings.

Move items from a loft, unless properly lit and floored and safe access is provided.

It is the customer’s responsibility to dismantle any unit/system/flat pack furniture and beds and this should be done before our arrival. It is the customer’s responsibility to ensure that items will fit in the new premises (e.g. size of sofa and size of aperture). Our drivers will not be insured to remove doors or windows and in such cases it is up to the customer to organize a specialist if needed.

Unforeseen Circumstances

We reserve the right to add extra costs due to unforeseen circumstances (eg. waiting for keys or gaining entry, incorrect addresses and so on).

Postponement or Cancellation

If you postpone or cancel after your booking is confirmed you will be charged 50% of the confirmed quote. If you postpone or cancel within 48 hours of the date of the job you will be charged the value of the job in full.

Please note we take all bookings in good faith and may have turned other work away for the day of your booking.

Staff Abuse

If the driver is forced to leave the job because of abuse from the customer or their acquaintances, verbal or otherwise, the customer will still be liable to pay in full.

Insurance

It is a condition of our insurance to obtain a valued inventory in respect of the goods, signed by the owner of the goods, prior to commencement of transit.

Any claim under our Goods in Transit insurance is subject to an excess fee of £250, to be paid by the client unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Please check your items before our team leaves. Claims cannot be made once our team have left the premises and you have signed in accordance with the invoice.

These Terms and Conditions together with our quotation are intended to form the whole agreement between us (Bucks Man And Van and you the customer) and to prevail over any verbal discussions. Should we mutually agree to any variation of these terms such variation should be confirmed in writing. Any variation however agreed shall never invalidate the remainder of these Terms and Conditions.

By entering into this agreement, you guarantee that:

The goods to be removed are your own property, or

The person(s) who own or have an interest in them have given you authority to make this contract and have been made aware of these conditions.

You will pay us for any claim or damages and/or cost brought against us.
